Folio LauncherThe taskbar disappears on my Fold
This is Android's doing, not Folio's, and it happens with every third-party launcher.
Samsung's taskbar, the row of apps along the bottom of the unfolded screen, is part of One UI Home. When you set a different launcher as your home app, Android stops drawing it. Nova, Niagara, Lawnchair and Folio are all affected in the same way, and there is no setting inside any of them that brings it back.
What you can do
- Use Folio's dock instead. It stays on screen on the inner display, holds your most-used apps, and unlike the taskbar it is yours to arrange per page.
- Keep recents in reach. Swipe up and hold for the recents view, which is how the taskbar's app switching worked anyway.
- Switch back when you want it. Press Home, pick One UI Home, and the taskbar returns. Folio changes nothing else on your phone and your layout is still there when you come back.
If Samsung ever opens the taskbar to other launchers, Folio will use it. Until then, honesty is better than a workaround that half works.
