Folio LauncherDynamic Island
It wraps the camera cutout your phone already has, instead of pretending the cutout is not there.
How you use it
- It is part of Home, so it is there as soon as Folio is your home app.
- It shows what is happening: music, timers, charging, and notices as they arrive.
- Settings › Dynamic Island decides what appears in it and how big it is.
What is different here
No accessibility service to see it on Home
The usual Android answer to this is an overlay app that needs an accessibility grant before it draws anything. Folio’s island is part of the home screen, so on Home it needs nothing. Floating it over other apps is the part that uses Folio’s gestures service, and that is your choice.
It fits your camera, not an iPhone’s
Folio measures the cutout your phone reports and wraps it. On a Fold that means one shape on the cover screen and another unfolded.
It is a place, not a decoration
Removing a shortcut or a widget shows an Undo there rather than a toast that slides away before you reach it.
Where Android draws the line
- Inside other apps the island needs Folio’s gestures service, because Android will not let one app reserve space inside another.
